The Tales of Pride event launches in Runescape to celebrate Pride Month
The month of June celebrates Pride Month, an event that celebrates an individual’s sexuality and gender identity. Pride Month empowers those in the LGBTQIA+ community. It is a month of inclusivity where community members embrace their individuality with confidence. With the celebration of Pride Month, most games follow suit and find different ways to celebrate the event. This year, Runescape 3 joins the party with the Tales of Pride Event launch.
Runescape 3 releases an event in the game called the Tales of Pride to honor the LGBTQIA+ community. The Tales of Pride is an event where players accomplish a series of quests that involve collecting stories from different LGBTQIA+ NPCs. Members write these tales of the Runescape 3 team who are members of the community. Completing these quests will grant the player Pride-themed rewards!
Starting the Journey to Collect the Tales of Pride
The Tales of Pride event can be initiated by talking to the Curator in Burthorpe who he will hand you a book that tells various tales; this book will serve as your progress tracker throughout the event. It would help if you then made your journey to several places to meet several people or collect journals and letters. You may collect the stories in any order that you wish. Once all stories are collected, return to the Curator and claim your rewards.
Here are the stories that you will need to collect:
- A Thoughtful Gift
- This is the tale of Achiettes, the guard and chancellor of the Heroes’ Guild between Burthorpe and Taverley, and Runestax, a druid from Taverley. To collect this story, go to the Pikkupstix’s Summoning Shop, where you will find Achietties and Runestax. Talk to them, and you will hear their conversation where a flustered Runestax scolds an injured Achietties, but Achietties responds by saying she only wanted to get flowers for Runestax. After hearing this conversation, their story should have been collected.
- Good Dogs

Reading the journal retells the story of Greg and Ed’s disastrous first date. Once you read the journal, the story should have been collected.
- What’s in a Name?

There you will find Anette and Caelyn. Talk to either of them and choose the option “See what’s upsetting Anette” to collect the story. They then talk about Anette’s father’s letter asking to visit the both of them for the first time since the couple met. The letter also talks about how her father has always known and expressed that he wanted to meet Caelyn. Anette then talks about how her mother is not as accepting as her father, and whether she would come with him. They also talk about an arranged marriage that Anette ran away from to be with Caelyn.

To collect the story, head to the top of Armadyl’s Tower and from the east of the divine focus, you will find a well-loved letter on the ground.
