Throughout this year, Square Enix has been given the task of offering a great selection of Tactical RPGs. titles like Triangle Strategy, The DioField Chronicles Y Tactics Ogre Reborn They showed that this genre still has a lot to offer. However, fans have been wondering where it is. Final Fantasy Tactics. Okay, a new rumor seems to indicate that a remastering of the PS1 classic is on the way.
Through ResetEra, a user shared what appears to be a leaked description of an alleged remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics. Let’s remember that this also leaked on the NVIDIA listing a while back. This is what is being said:
“Final Fantasy Tactics Remastered is a remastered version of the classic PlayStation title of the same name. The game has been completely remastered with high-resolution graphics, a new soundtrack, new characters, and much more. The game has been developed by Square Enix and is available for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game includes the original version of the game as well as the War of the Lions expansion. The game also includes online multiplayer, an in-game store, and new game modes.”
Nevertheless, It is important to mention that at the moment there is no official information from Square Enix. In the same way, the user who shares this leak has not mentioned what his source is, and the text looks somewhat strange, since it is indicated that War of the Lions it was an expansion, something that is not true, although it could be referring to the content that came to the PSP version.
With this, this is expected to be one of the announcements that will take place during The Game Awards tomorrow. We can only wait and see what will happen. Editor’s Note:
Although the possibility of seeing another remastering of this title during The Game Awards is not ruled out, this leak looks somewhat suspicious. As a fan of the series and the genre, I hope this comes to fruition eventually, but considering the extensive offering Square Enix has given us, I won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t happen either.
