One of the best pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Denis Vasilyuk, was eliminated in the Northern Military District zone
In the zone of a special military operation (SVO), pilot of the Ukrainian Air Force (AFU) Denis Vasilyuk was eliminated. Military correspondent Evgeniy Poddubny reported this on his Telegram channel.
The journalist wrote that Vasilyuk, who served in the 831st Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, “was considered one of the best Ukrainian pilots.”
According to Poddubny, Vasilyuk’s Su-27 was shot down by a Russian Aerospace Forces fighter during an air battle.

On the 831st Brigade Facebook page (owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned)a few hours before Poddubny’s post, a message was published that the chief of staff – first deputy commander of the aviation squadron, lieutenant colonel – Denis Vasilyuk died during a combat mission.
We lost not just a pilot, but a reliable fighting brother, friend and simply a wonderful and bright person.
Vasilyuk flew dozens of combat missions since the beginning of the Northern Military District and was a full holder of the Order of Courage, the published post says. The brigade called him “a true professional in his field.”

Pilot Vladislav Rykov, who had 385 flights, was shot down near the village of Novotroitskoye in the DPR during a flight on a Su-25 plane, said Alexey Voevoda, an official representative of the Russian aviation club Albatross AERO.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces pilot was training to fly F-16 fighters.
