Five people were poisoned inside a hotel in the center of Rome and were transported to hospital. One of them, according to what La Repubblica reports, is in code red.
The firefighters ascertained that the five, who are hotel employees, were victims of fumes attributable to the chlorine found in the technical room serving the spa on the lower floor of the hotel. Firefighters and local police are therefore evacuating the building which is located in via Rasella, at number 3.
Firefighters and local police personnel were on site to ensure the safety of the area and the traffic in the area. Via delle Quattro Fontane, from Piazza Barberini to Via Rasella and via Rasella, from via delle Quattro Fontane to Via del Boccaccio are currently closed.
