Asus shared precise details about the ROG Ally X, its new model in the line of gaming-focused laptops. According to the plan, it will be available on July 22, 2024 and reservations are already open.
As for its price, it will be $799.99 dollars, more than $13,585 Mexican pesos at the current exchange rate. It’s a considerable increase, since the original was only $499.99. But it’s all due to their improvements.
And what can you expect from the ROG Ally X? To start, this model is black instead of white. It also has greater storage space, battery life, and an additional vent to keep its temperature down.
We recommend: Rog Ally X would have improved RAM and a longer battery life.
But it is better to go into specific details. As some rumors suggested, it has an 80Wh rechargeable battery, and regarding storage it is a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD, as well as a microSD slot.
Another confirmed detail is that the ROG Ally X has 24GB of LPDDR5-7500 RAM, and will come with the MS Windows 11 operating system.
Other details are available, although some are similar to the original model. It is necessary to remember that this is a new iteration and not the successor to the first ROG Ally.
That’s why it has an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and an AMD Radeon Graphics GPU, as well as a seven-inch screen.
The ports on the ROG Ally X are similar to the previous model. Regarding its measurements, they are 28 x 11.1 x 2.47 ~ 3.69 cm and regarding its compatibility, it is compatible with Steam, Xbox Game Pass, Epic Games Store, GOG and more digital video game sales platforms.
If what you want is a real leap in specifications, you will have to wait for the next model. But that will also mean a pretty substantial price increase.
