Sony and Team Ninja have shed light on two aspects that remained somewhat unclear Rise of the Roninconfirming the presence of the cooperative multiplayer and of thecharacter editor within the official FAQ dedicated to the game.
Shortly after the publication of the new video on fighting styles and weapons which took place yesterday, Sony has also updated the Rise of the Ronin official page on PlayStation Store with the addition of the FAQ dedicated to the game in question, which explained some aspects in more detail.
In these, among other things, it is reported in more detail that multiplayer is present, something that had not been directly confirmed previously, in addition to the presence of the classic editor which has become somewhat of a standard feature of recent productions by Team Ninja.
4 player cooperative multiplayer
Among the information present we learn that Rise of the Ronin is aPS5 exclusive and it will not be released on PS4 and that it is an open world, but these were already known aspects of the new game arriving on the Sony console.
The presence of multiplayer was less clear: well, this is present and confirmed, with the possibility of playing in cooperative mode for a maximum of 4 players. “Players can team up in groups of four to take on main missions in online co-op,” reads the FAQ, “Please note that playing online requires a PlayStation Plus subscription and there is no PVP combat.”
The four-player cooperative multiplayer will therefore concern the main story mode, apparently. Furthermore, the presence of the editor is confirmed, with the confirmation of the option for creation of the protagonist: “You can extensively customize your character's appearance, changing their face, body shape, hair, voice, and more.”
We remind you that Rise of the Ronin will be available on March 22, 2024 on PS5, more information in our special with all the news from the State of Play on the game.
