Several details have already been known about how they devised the way to construct the story, but more intimate revelations have been made that confirm that it was very well planned.

Andrés Pérez López He revealed some details that, until now, were unpublished about the novel, such as, for example, that the most complicated thing was finding the person to play the protagonist.

“Juan Pablo Urrego was the call, but he seemed hesitant. There were several actors who showed up, however, they did not ride bicycles and the Antioquian accent was not so deep-rooted,” he said.

And he added: “Then, searching for and deciding on recording locations was complex, because geographically the story was very established. The possibility of doing it in real places was raised, but it was not the best due to logistical issues.”

Pérez López told Nueva Crónica del Quindío that it took six months of filming and two of pre-production. Then the idea of ​​going to Santo Domingo, Antioquia was born, but finally they decided to do it in Anolaima.

“The last thing was to be able to develop the project in 80 chapters, which later became 99 in six months,” he said.
