Two features highly requested by Returnal players.
Version 2.0 of the Returnal is now available for PlayStation 5 and adds two features that are highly requested by gamers. The PlayStation 5 title of Housemarque it is by no means an easy game and since its release in April of this year, players have been asking for a save option.
While not directly a save option, today’s update introduces a feature that allows players to pause their current cycle to continue later. As with other roguelike games that offer this feature, the game essentially creates a temporary pause state. This preserves the randomly generated version of the world, all gear, upgrades, health, and more, but then clears the suspended game state when resuming the match. Housemarque notes that there are limits to this. It is not possible to create a suspended loop during boss battles, cutscenes, first person sequences, or during combat scenarios.
The new update also adds a photo mode. It is possible to pause the game practically at any time, in order to move the camera, adjust the focal distance, aperture, saturation, contrast and more. Players can also set different light sources in a scene, choose from filters, effects, frames and coloring options to get a truly unique photo to share.
We remind you that Returnal is currently available exclusively on PlayStation 5.
