Founder and CEO of Softtek, a global digital transformation company with a presence in 19 countries – including Brazil, Blanca Trevino spoke to the column about the socio-environmental strategy she adopts in conducting her business.
Vision
“40 years ago, I founded a technology company. I am a woman who was born and raised in Mexico, the company’s headquarters. I have the firm conviction that I am privileged and I have an obligation to repay this in some way to society”
Impact
“As a service company, we need great talent to exist and grow. We translate that into a compensation strategy, investing in community education programs like Stem and Codellege.”
Stem Program
“The acronym is the English equivalent for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. We work to reduce the gap that exists in the formation of these disciplines among students in situations of vulnerability. During 2020, around 500 young people participated in the various Stem extension programs that have an exclusive arm for training women”
CODELLEGE Program
“This program promotes training in technology for young people with the aim of inserting them into the job market. In 2020, we had more than 100 students, which represents an increase of 10% compared to 2019 and we reached a labor inclusion rate of 56%”
