Covid’s CPI recently closed the session destined to read the opinion presented by senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL). In the 1180-page document, Renan calls for indictments involving 68 people and companies, including President Jair Bolsonaro. Voting on the report was scheduled for next Tuesday, 26th. After this stage, the conclusions will be forwarded to the control bodies, which will be able to open proceedings on the alleged crimes.
Renan proposes that Bolsonaro be held responsible for the following crimes: epidemic resulting in death; crimes of responsibility for proceeding in a manner incompatible with the dignity, honor and decorum of the office; crime of responsibility for the violation of social rights; infraction of preventive sanitary measure; quackery; incitement to crime; forgery of private document; irregular employment of public funds; malfeasance; and crimes against humanity in the form of extermination, persecution and other inhumane acts.
