The Russian Ministry of Transport said that the movement of passenger and freight trains across the Crimean Bridge is proceeding according to the specified times.
“The railway movement of long-distance passenger and freight trains across the Crimean Bridge is currently running according to the established schedule,” the Russian TASS news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
The ministry added that the suburban train movement across the Qurum bridge will return to normal at seven in the evening.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Transport said that the ferry service between Crimea and the Krasnodar region is working steadily.
She said: “The ferry Kerchinsky-2 with trucks on board left Crimea at 52:01 am. It brought sixteen trucks and twenty-five passengers to the port of Kavkaz.
The ministry added: “New trucks were loaded onto the ferry in the port and arrived in Crimea. The third ferry journey started at 50:05 am and the ferry service is operating steadily.”
The agency said that traffic between Crimea and mainland Russia, which stopped early yesterday, began to recover by the end of the day.
Yesterday morning, a truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge, setting fire to the fuel tanks of a freight train that was moving near the railway.
Three people were killed, and two parts of the eastbound bridge collapsed.
