In Maranello they warm up in engines in view of the return of the Red Night, an event that celebrates the pride and passion of the Modena community for Ferrari. The event returns after two years of hiatus due to the pandemic with two days to be held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June. The program of initiatives and events is rich, with Ferrari that on the occasion of the celebrations for its 75th anniversary it will open the doors of the Maranello plant in a completely extraordinary way, allowing the public to cross the avenue in the center of the factory. In fact, during the two days of the Red Night it will be possible to walk along Viale Enzo Ferrari with entrance and exit from Via Grizzaga and Via Abetone Inferiore, in the double direction of travel; Saturday 18 you can do it starting at 18 with last admission at 00.30, Sunday 19 from 9 in the morning with last admission at 15.
Organized by the municipal administration with the participation of the Maranello Terra del Mito Consortium and the support of various partners, the event presents other interesting initiatives. For example, the collaboration with the Ferrari Museum has been confirmed, open on Saturdays with extended hours, reduced tickets and the possibility of guided tours. Qualifying (Saturday at 10pm) and the live broadcast of the Canadian F1 Grand Prix (Sunday at 8pm) can be followed in the museum square. On Saturday evening, the Ferraris will be the protagonists of the suggestive open-air museum along the city streetswhich has always been one of the most attractive elements of the festival: dozens of “reds” from yesterday and today will be located along Via Nazionale and in Piazza Libertà, thanks to the precious collaboration of the Ferrari Club Belgium and private collectors.
There is also space for cinema cars: in Via Claudia you can admire some of the most iconic cars on the big screen.
For speed enthusiasts it will be possible to participate, in the two days, in the challenges with the simulators in Piazza Libertà, to experience the thrill of driving a virtual Gran Turismo. The great pyromusical show on Saturday will be dedicated to the link between Maranello, Ferrari and the history of motoring, scheduled for 11.45 pm and preceded by a celebratory video for the 50th anniversary of the Fiorano track: it can be followed from the square of the Ferrari Museum. The large mural by Alessandro Rasponi is dedicated to one of the most beloved F1 drivers: on Saturday from 5.30 pm in the square of the Mabic Library, the Modenese artist will create a three by three meter work of art to remember Gilles Villeneuve 40 years after his disappearance, as part of the event “Tribute to Gilles Villeneuve, a timeless icon” realized with the support of the Modena Foundation. The exhibition set up at the Mabic, open on Saturday and Sunday, and the presentation of the book “Gilles Villeneuve. The man, the driver and his legend ”, on Sunday 19th at 7 pm in Piazza Libertà, followed by the projection on the big screen of the Canadian Grand Prix at 8 pm. Also worth noting is the possibility for adults and children to drive electric and pedal cars, in the square of the swimming pool in Via Dino Ferrari.
The Red Night will also be a party full of shows, from the show of the comedian Maurizio Lastrico, one of the protagonists of “Don Matteo”, Saturday evening at 9.30 pm on the stage in Piazza Libertà, to the animations and DJ sets with Radio Bruno, from the many widespread concerts in the city streets at the concert by Richard Lord and Roberta Francomano, on Saturday in Piazza Libertà at 9 pm or that of the Banda di Solignano, at 8 pm in Piazza Unità d’Italia.
