In a media interview, Jade Raymond, who previously worked at Ubisoft Montreal and Google, revealed her studio Haven’s plans to release her first title. The company is working with Sony on the first-ever “terabyte” game. According to her, the title will have support for streaming from the cloud, which will fit it on the storage device of the set-top box.
Raymond did not disclose the details of the game and the timing of its release. “The things we are working on have allowed us to know what is meant by the next generation of cloud gaming,” said Jade Raymond. According to the game designer, the game will reach a new level of quality.
The entrepreneur also spoke about the nuances of working with a Japanese company. “Sony really stands out as a corporation that understands the creative process, makes games, supports development teams and gives them the freedom they need,” said Raymond.
Sony’s next generation console is equipped with a one terabyte SSD. However, titles of this size cannot be installed on an STB. The PlayStation system takes up some disk space, leaving about 825 gigabytes of free space.
