Rayados fan receives the team with protests at the airport

Monterrey’s performance in the Club World Cup was not what was expected. The albiazul team fell surprisingly against Al-Ahly in the second round of the international tournament. Rayados was disconnected, with little collective game and very weak in his low table. With a solitary goal from Mohamed Hany, the champion of the Concacaf Champions League lost the possibility of accessing the semifinals of the tournament and facing Palmeiras.

Abel Ferreira, coach of the Brazilian squad, assured in an interview that the people from Monterrey lacked humility in the duel against the Egyptian team. Upon his return to Monterrey, a Rayados fan called for Javier Aguirre to resign after the poor results that the team under his command has achieved. “Get out Aguirre, get out, if you can’t go… get out, submit your resignation, go outside, go, get out,” shouted the albiazul team supporter.
