The Liga MX officially announced the schedule of the Apertura 2024 tournament. This contest will be unusual because it will take place while there is still Copa América activity and because it will suffer a pause of approximately one month for the Leagues to take place. Cup, in which all the teams from the Mexican first division and those from Major League Soccer (MLS) will face each other.
Monterrey will come to this tournament with the obligation to reach the grand final after its failure in the Clausura 2024. The albiazules have one of the strongest squads in the entire Liga MX, but they have not had what it takes to reach the final in the most recent contests.

Between matchday 4 and 5 of Apertura 2024 there will be a one-month break for the Leagues Cup to be played. During this semester there will be three more breaks due to the FIFA date: from September 2 to 12, from October 7 to 17 and from November 11 to 21.
Among the important games for Rayados this semester: Cruz Azul (matchday 2), Chivas (matchday 10), América (matchday 14). The Clásico Regio against Tigres will be played on Saturday, October 19 in a duel on matchday 12.
