Although Nintendo has confirmed the existence of the successor to switch, this doesn’t mean that the hardware rumors and leaks have stopped. Although many of us still do not know about this system, A new report has revealed the RAM and storage that this console would have, and we have good news.
According to a person who claims to have seen information about the lists of component shipments to manufacturers working on the Switch, the new Nintendo console would have 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM (2 modules of 6 GB at 7500 MT/s), and with an internal storage of 256 GB which uses the UFS 3.1 standard.
By comparison, the current Switch features 4GB of RAM, and the larger model only offers 64GB of internal memory. If the new information is true, the Switch 2 would have a considerable increase. However, let us remember that previous reports assure that The next console would have a power similar to the PlayStation 4, which has 8 GB of RAM. Likewise, the 12 GB of RAM would put the next hardware above the 10 GB that the Xbox Series S has.
While RAM is something that is still in doubt, 256 GB of internal memory is more possible. In the current market, the PS5 and Xbox Series X have 1 TB, while the Series S offers 512 GB. Thus, The rumor sounds closer to what Nintendo usually offers.
As always, we have no official information from Nintendo. However, these and more details will come to light at some point in the current fiscal year, so the wait won’t be so long anymore. On related topics, the Switch 2 will continue to use the same accounts. Likewise, will the Switch 2 be a flop like the Wii U?
Author’s Note:
These are pretty impressive technical specs for the Switch 2, so I don’t think they’re entirely true. 12 GB of RAM sounds like a lot. However, 256 GB of internal memory is possible, and if Nintendo continues to optimize its games to weigh approximately 10 GB, then it will no longer be necessary to purchase another external SD memory.
