Rally | Evans rose back to the top in Monza, but Ogier is still stuck in the world championship

Toyota Elfyn Evans and Sebastien Ogier on Italian asphalt roads fight for the World Rally Championship and the victory in the World Rally Championship in Monza. Evans rose back to the top of the race in Saturday’s second special stage, but Ogier, 2.3 seconds behind, is still caught up in the world championship.

Hyundain Thierry Neuville is firmly in third place in the World Series, but collapsed due to a driving error and dropped from third to fourth in the race. Fellow teammate Dani Sordo Porhalsi came in third with four more special stages left.

Hyundai gig driver Teemu Suninen is eighth and Toyota Kalle Rovanperä ninth. Rovanperä is fourth in the World Series, but Neuville does not have to worry about his third place. Rovanperä drives confidently and helps his team achieve the World Championship title.

“It was a nice stretch with a good grip. It’s a bit slow, but that’s the plan, ”Rovanperä said.
