Lapland thinks driving in Sardinia is “really simple”.
Season driving his third World Rally Championship on the island of Sardinia this weekend Esapekka Lapland aims high in the fierce and heatwave-ridden competition.
Lapland won the prize-winning place in Sweden from the opening race of the season in February and is also aiming for the podium in Italy. “The podium has a goal. In tests, the car felt good, and in Portugal it was also seen to be fast on gravel. In that sense, you can only start enjoying and pulling as hard as possible, ”Lappi summed up.

“It’s always nice to drive in Sardinia when there’s warm and good food and the sea next door. Right from the beginning of the week there was a good flow on, and now we can pull in the world’s finest tricks. The feeling is damn great, ”Lapland glowed.
“Driving here is really simple. One only has to aim for a clean line that others have done. Then the times kind of come by themselves. It is useless to try to make any unnecessary movements. ”
Lapland will be distributing a third car at Toyota’s factory garage this season Sebastien Ogierin with. It would be good to bring safe team points, but at least in Sardinia, Lapland is allowed to go even to make a profit.
