Ferrari thinks about the future
Next February 13th from Fiorano Ferrari will kick off its 2024 championship, with the hope of putting on track a single-seater capable of coming close to last season's dominating Red Bull.
It is no mystery that the team principal is discussing with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz the extension of the agreements expiring at the end of the year. The first option of the Red team has been reiterated several times, namely to continue with the current pair of drivers, but Lawrence Barretto from the Formula 1 website wanted to include the figure of Alexander Albon of Williams as an outsider.
Ralf Schumacher tough on Leclerc and Sainz
The former Formula 1 driver was asked to express his opinion on the value of two Ferrari champions during the Formula For Success podcast. Ralf Schumacher he wasn't kind to Leclerc and Sainz: “You never know what these two drivers will do: if they will lead a race, if they will spin or if they will have an accident. At least they don't have accidents with each other, but they make stupid mistakes which often surprise me.”
The younger brother of the Schumacher family then continued, revealing a certain distrust towards the Red: “I think Frederic Vasseur is doing a good job so far. You can see that the group is growing together and doing better, as they make fewer mistakes and are making excellent pit stops. But I wouldn't see them as Red Bull's main rivals at the momentobviously it will be easier to make a judgment during the first tests“, concluded Ralf Schumacher on Eddie Jordan and David Coulthard's podcast.
