The plot of Race for Glory focuses on the 1983 World Rally Championship, the year in which Lancia challenges the last winner of the world championship, namely the German Audi team. The protagonists of this story are Cesare Fiorito (driving the Lancia Team) and the German driver Walter Röhrl, just joined the Italian “team”. The story, as anticipated by the film's trailer, does not focus exclusively on racing, but tries to reconstruct as much as possible the general picture of a moment gone down in history.

But above all there are the cars, or better yet: the car. With the legendary 037, the last two-wheel drive car to win the world rally championship, and an extraordinary victory in Sanremo Rally (where he managed to place four cars in the top five positions), Lancia managed to take home his fifth World Manufacturers' Championship. From this moment a true “golden age” began for the Turin company.

Directed by Stefano Mordinithe film sees Riccardo Scamarcio to interpret Cesare Fioriothe legendary sporting director of Lancia. Lancia 037, the true protagonist of Race for Glory

The Lancia Rally 037 is a legend of the four wheels, one of nine iconic cars of the history of the brand that inspired future models, starting with Lancia Pu+Ra HPE, the Lancia brand manifesto for the next 10 years. And perhaps it is no coincidence that Race of Glory arrives right at the beginning of the new era of the historic Turin brand, about to present its exclusive creations, starting with the brand new Ypsilon.
