The airline Etf Airways began operations last June and is based at Zagreb airport
Zagreb – The Croatian airline ETF Airways filed a civil lawsuit against Bremen airport in Germany asking for compensation of one million euros for a very special reason: a rabbit. According to the company’s complaint, the German airport allowed the animal to enter the runway area. Due to this negligence, on August 2nd a Boeing 737 of the ETF sucked up the rabbit, with extensive engine damage that forced the plane to remain on the ground for 12 days.
After the incident, the German authorities initiated the relevant investigations and the company appointed an expert. Now, part of the results of the report have been shared by the CEO of ETF, Stjepan Bedic, in your account LinkedIn. The manager says he walked for five hours and found several holes in the airport fences that wildlife could have passed through.
Bedic also complained of being intimidated by the airport staff: “People like me who spent their childhood in air raid shelters certainly don’t scare“.
The Air company ETF Airways began operations last June and is based at the airport of Zagreb. It is a charter company that has a leased fleet of Boeing 737-800s. According to the statements of its CEO, in these first months of activity it has made about 1,500 flights and transported about 1,350,000 passengers.
