Atlas vs.  Querétaro

The leaders of Mexican soccer did not disaffiliate any of the clubs involved.

This Tuesday, in an extraordinary press conference, Mikel Arriola, the president of Liga MX, the first division of Mexican soccer, and the president of the Mexican Soccer Federation, Yon de Luisa, announced the sanctions derived from the tragedy that was lived on Saturday at the Querétaro stadium.

According to both directors, the axes of the barbarism that was seen were: the failure of the private security company, which hired the Querétaro club, and the anonymity of the brave bars.

Sanctions against Queretaro

– Querétaro loses the match with Atlas 0-3.

– The ‘White Roosters’ of Querétaro will have a one-year punishment behind closed doors for their men’s, women’s and minors’ teams.

– Fine of one million 500 thousand pesos of Mexican pesos.

– Three-year suspension for the barra brava in home games. One year in away games.

– 5-year suspension from any management activity for current managers.
