THE quaest search, contracted by Genial Investimentos, was another survey released this Saturday (29), which precedes the second round of the presidential elections. In this survey, former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) obtained 52% of the valid votes, with President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) with 48%.
As the margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points, the result points to a technical tie between the two candidates.

Counting the total votes, Lula has 45% of the electorate’s preference, and Bolsonaro, 42%. The blank and null votes were 5%, while the undecided ones reached 8% of the answers. In comparison with the last survey, released on the 26th, Lula had 48%, and the current president, 42%.
The Quaest survey polled 2,000 people between the 28th and 29th of October. The search is registered in Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number BR-05765/2022.
