TikTok and Netflix are added to the electronic platforms that ceased to operate in Russiaat least partially, as a form of protest against the military intervention promoted by the country in Ukraine and the new legislation arising from the war with this country.
It was during this Sunday that the social network china TikTok announced the partial suspension of the service on Russian territory. Therefore, uploading videos and broadcasting live from that country will not be allowed, according to information published by the Russian agencies Tass and Interfax.
In the case of TikTok, the decision to suspend its services in Russia is due to the recently approved law which sanctions with 15 years in prison anyone who spreads what may be considered by the authorities as “false information” about the war in Ukraine.

“In light of Russia’s new fake news law, we have no choice but to suspend live streaming and new content for our video service while we consider the security implications of this law,” TikTok said.
For their part, the directors of Netflix recently announced the suspension of its services in Russiaaccording to US media.
Said decision was already coming, because the American company announced since March 3 of the current year the interruption of its acquisitions for future projects in Russia, as well as productions of original programs, according to the AFP agency.
Given the circumstances on the ground, we have decided to suspend our service in Russia,” a spokesperson told Variety.

It should be remembered that last Friday the Russian communications regulator, Roskomnadzor, announced the blocking of Facebook and Twitter in response to the European Union’s veto of the official media Russia Today (RT) and Sputnik.
