Public workers unions call rallies on December 11 in defense of Muface

Representatives of several public workers’ union organizations have called rallies for December 11 to demand that the Government hold a new tender for Muface and that liability insurers so that a new agreement be signed “as soon as possible” to guarantee the continuity of the health agreement. .

This was reported by the unions CCOO, UGT, ANPE, UFP, USIE and Adide this Friday at a press conference in Madrid, where they announced that these mobilizations will be called both in Madrid and in all the provincial capitals of Spain.

As detailed by the union organizations, the mobilization campaign will begin on December 11 with a rally in the morning and afternoon. In the morning, in Madrid they will gather at 10:30 a.m. at the headquarters of Unespa (insurers’ association), while in the afternoon, it will be between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. — depending on each province — at the headquarters. of Muface in Madrid and in their respective provincial delegations.

Likewise, the unions have indicated that in this demonstration the public workers assisted by Muface will also be accompanied by officials of the Mugeju Justice, who are also experiencing complications in their health care services after the hiring procedure was provisionally suspended. this concert.

Thus, the convening union organizations will take to the streets to demand a solution “as soon as possible” to renew the Muface agreement that allows health care for the 1.5 million civil servants who are covered by this health agreement. “We will use the pressure measures that we consider necessary,” they have warned.

This situation occurs after the three insurers that until now were paying attention to Muface (Adeslas, Asisa and DKV) will not present themselves to the new tender for the years 2025 and 2026 because the Government proposed an increase in premiums of 17.12 % that the insurers considered “insufficient”.
