In the electrification strategy of Stellantisthe historic center of Mirafiori hosts the production of new ones electrified transmissions dual clutch (eDCT), together with the Belgian company Punch Powertrain. An investment of 240 million euros in the Turin plant and in the Italian automotive industry, with the aim of creating the Mirafiori Automotive Park 2030. Mirafiori is also an integral part of the transformation program Stellantis grEEn-campusaimed at reducing emissions by 36,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

On April 10, 2024, the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavaresinaugurated the production of electrified dual clutch transmissions (eDCT) within the joint venture eTransmissions Assemblywith a production capacity of 600,000 units per yearwith approx 500 employees.
This site, together with the production in Metz, France, is responsible for the manufacturing of these transmissions. The eDCT, produced in Mirafiori, is a cutting-edge and economical hybridization technology that integrates a 21 kW electric motor in a dual-clutch transmission.
This engine delivers electric propulsion in urban or constant-speed driving scenarios, allowing the internal combustion engine to remain off 50% of the time in the urban cycle. When more torque is required, the internal combustion engine comes into operation.
Car production in Mirafiori
The production of electrified gearboxes for hybrid cars in Mirafiori goes alongside the manufacturing of cars, with the Turin site producing the electric cars Abarth 500e, Fiat 500e and sportswomen Maserati GranTurismo And Maserati GranCabrio.
More than 90% of the vehicles produced here are exported abroad. Furthermore, in Mirafiori, Stellantis created the Battery Technology Centeran innovative center financed with an investment of 40 million euros, dedicated to the design, the development and testing of battery packs, modules, high voltage cells and software for future Stellantis brand vehicles. Among the innovations there is one new battery announced by Tavares for the 500e which allows you to lower the purchase price of the electric car and at the same time increase its autonomy.

Mirafiori also became the main Hub for'Circular Economy by Stellantis, with the SUSTAINera Circular Economy Hub. Activities include reconditioning of the cars, their disassembly and the regeneration of componentswith plans to expand on a global scale.
Stellantis employee headquarters
Mirafiori is also home to the so-called GrEEn-campus of Stellantis which will soon come into operation as an innovative program for the transformation of workplacescreating collaborative, zero-carbon environments.
The site groups together i employees which deal with various activities, including global decision centers for Stellantis Pro One (headquarters for commercial vehicles), Drive4You, by Stellantis (internal logistics company based in Turin), Mobilsights (unit dedicated to the development of innovative B2B products and services), Software hub (global responsible for advanced driver assistance systems), Advanced Engineering (global competence center for advanced automotive technologies), Stellantis Design Headquarters (for main design activities) e Stellantis Italian National Sales Company.
