An Iraqi doctor was awarded the Order of the British Empire, in honor of his service in the field of medicine and international medical relations.
Dr. Raad Shaker, a neurologist, was awarded the Order of the British Empire in the rank of CBE Commander, which was handed to him personally by the Crown Prince of Britain, Prince Charles, on behalf of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, in honor of his service in the field of medicine and international medical relations.
The CBE Medal, the highest rank of the Order of the British Empire, is awarded to individuals for accomplishments beyond their regular job.
Dr. Raad Shaker has headed, for 12 years, a department that includes specializations in neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT and neck surgery at Imperial Hospital in west London, and 110 British doctors work under his supervision.
It is worth noting that Dr. Raad Shaker was born in 1948 and graduated in 1971 from Baghdad Medical College, and he is a fellow of the British Royal College of Physicians.
