The order was included in the approved plan of additional measures to combat the Omicron strain.
The draft plan of additional measures was discussed at an expanded meeting of the coordinating council for the fight against coronavirus on January 18. The government is starting to implement a plan of additional measures due to the spread of the Omicron strain in the country and the preparation of the healthcare system.
On January 18, Mishustin announced that Omicron is rapidly spreading around the world. He said that the government will allocate an additional 15 billion rubles for the purchase of medicines for coronavirus.
