The Early Childhood and Primary Education students of the municipalities affected by the DANA in Valencia They will be able to continue the teaching activity in schools in other locations that do resume classes this Monday. It will be the parents who must request – through a form– that provisional transfer to the reception center.
This has been communicated by the Department of Education in a circular in which this exceptional measure is authorized for minors in the early academic stages in the face of the damage caused by the storm in the province.
For their part, ESO, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training students who cannot travel to their educational center will receive “the necessary academic and training adaptations, resources and flexibility in evaluations “as needed” until they can continue their learning normally.
At the moment, classes are suspended, between November 4 and 8, in Albal, Alfafar, Algemesí, Alginet, Benetússer, Beniparrell, Catarroja, Cheste, Chiva, Dos Aguas, Godelleta, l’Alcudia, Massanassa, Paiporta, Picanya , Se-daví, Siete Aguas, Torrent, Utiel, Yátova and the districts of Valencia: Castellar-Oliveral, La Torre and Horno de Alcedo.
Aldaia will only open the centers located in Aldaia-Barrio del Cristo, while Alaquàs will close them until November 6. Montserrat will carry out a pilot test this Monday to determine if the accesses and facilities can function normally and Xirivella and Paterna – given the risk of heavy rains – will not open them this Monday.
Furthermore, if any center finds that the number of absent teachers – due to the impossibility of traveling – prevents its correct functioning, it must notify the Department so that it can take the necessary measures in response to this situation. It will also be the schools who inform families about the possibility or not of providing the dining room service school.
Likewise, given the damage caused to a multitude of school buses – it is estimated that there are around a hundred – and the access roads to different municipalities, the transport routes they may undergo changes. The possibility also opens up of creating new routes to serve students displaced to another center that is not their usual one.
In parallel, the technical services of the General Directorate of Educational Infrastructure and the inspection are already visiting the centers in the area affected by the flood to check the availability of teaching classes in the coming days and weeks.
For their part, the majority of universities -UV, UPV and UCV-, which operate autonomously, have canceled teaching activities until November 11.
