Today, in the offices of the Sinaloa State Electoral Institute (IEES) Verification of the vote count records will be carried out to obtain the final results of the election. It will be an arduous task in which the electoral members and representatives of the parties that participated in the contest will concentrate. There are cases that will be analyzed and will undoubtedly generate controversy for the remainder of the week.
The Elota case is one of the issues that must be analyzed in the coming days, given the very close results of the election. At the end of the Preliminary Electoral Results Program, Richard Millán Vázquez, candidate of Citizen movement, had the lead with 4,921 votes. Following closely was Yazmín Arellano, Morena’s standard bearer, with 4,413 votes. For this reason, Morena demands a recount of votes. The campaign coordinator, Héctor Dorantes, was preparing in previous days to file a complaint for the buying of votes during the elections. For his part, Millán Vázquez declared himself willing for the vote recount to take place.
There is also controversy in Navolato, since the results also ended up close. According to him PREPJorge Rosario Bojórquez Berrelleza was reported to be leading the elections with 18,957 votes. The Morena candidate followed closely, with 18,391 votes in her favor. There was a controversy yesterday that remained in doubt, which will have to be cleared up today in the scrutiny of the minutes and the final report of results.
In Cosalá, Carla Úrsula Corrales Corrales achieved re-election with a majority of 3,837. This represented 50.9 percent of the votes cast at the polls in that municipality. Everything seems to indicate that Corrales Corrales maintains the support of the voters of that municipality to continue with another administrative period, despite the controversies in which she was involved for leaving her husband, José Juan Conde Madueño, in charge of the City Council in who was doing his electoral campaign, something that many saw as a case of nepotism.
In Badiraguatowith 5,197 votes in his favor, José Paz López Elenes, managed to be re-elected in the municipal presidency, leading the race for Brunette. The controversial José Paz maintains the support of the voters of that mountain municipality, despite the accusations of harassment, threats and black propaganda that some opponents leveled against him during the elections. The Morenista obtained 43.8 percent of the elections.
The announcement by the state governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, that he will make “a move” in his cabinet due to the results of the elections, did not fail to generate discomfort in the Government palace, where many were already comfortable, comfortable in the absence of the incumbents.
