Portuguese GP 2023, the warm-up
The comment
Truly too few ten minutes available for the riders who essentially performed a run with the soft and medium compounds as protagonists, no one tried the hard tire probably in light of the temperatures being too low to bring it up to temperature. Alex Marquez was the fastest, ahead of Fabio Quartararo, his brother Marc, Jorge Martin and Jack Miller. The top 10 is completed by Miguel Oliveira, Francesco Bagnaia, Brad Binder and Aleix Espargarò.
Problem for Quartararo
The 2021 world champion immediately had a problem on the first Yamaha M1 with which he had come out of the pits to start the available mini-shift. El Diablo was able to quickly return to the pits to jump onto the second bike and still collect some data after yesterday’s Sprint frustrated by the contact with Joan Mir on the first lap, a collision for which the Honda rider was sanctioned with a long lap penalty which will have to serve today in the Grand Prix.
The race
The Portuguese Grand Prix will leave today at 15:00 and will have a race distance of 25 laps. Compared to the starting grid established by yesterday’s Qualifying, Enea Bastianini will obviously be missing from the second row after the fracture of his right scapula repaired yesterday in the Sprint during which the official Ducati rider was knocked down by his brand mate Luca Marini in a carom in Curva- 5. Marc Marquez will start again from pole position with the Ducatis of Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin at his side.
