The debut of the new generation of Porsche Panamera, presumably over the next year, and so the car manufacturer from Zuffenhausen has seen fit to subject a prototype of the new model to a series of winter tests. Some people thought of equipping this prototype badges design elements compared to the current version of the Panamera, especially in the rear: we think, for example, of the presence of a new light signature with different style headlights, or even that of an updated spoiler.
Porsche intends not to abandon what has always been its philosophy, namely that of making only small aesthetic changes from one generation to another of its models. The most representative innovations will in fact concern the motoring aspect: according to what reported by Autocar, the range of thrusters that will equip the new generation of Porsche Panamera will first of all include a series of updated petrol solutions, all with heavily reworked exhaust systems and with software optimized to meet the new Euro 7 emissions regulations. But not only: alongside the updated versions of the current 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo and 4.0-liter V8 engines, combined with 48 V mild-hybrid technology, the new Panamera seems destined to adopt a heavily renewed plug-in hybrid engine, the same one that should also equip the new generation of the Cayenne SUV. What seems certain, however, is that the overall power of each variant of the new Panamera will be greater than the current one.
As for the technological aspect and the connectivity, it seems clear that the new German sports car will be available with a further developed version of the Porsche Communication Management system with 5G data compatibility. When will the third generation of the Panamera be unveiled? The rumors are many and conflicting, but everything seems to lead to a debut by the third quarter of 2023with the first deliveries expected by the end of the same year.
