The traffic light parties continue to perform poorly in the current Sunday poll. One even slipped below the five percent hurdle.
Berlin – In a recent election poll for the federal election by the Forsa Institute, the Union parties have gained further percentage points and would achieve their best result since 2021 with 33 percent of the votes of those surveyed. The second strongest party at the federal level would also be the AfD, which continues to achieve 17 percentage points.
According to the information provided by the 2,500 people surveyed in the Sunday question, the three traffic light parties would be the losers in the election: Both the SPD and the Greens landed in the low double-digit range with only 14 and 11 percent respectively, while the FDP even dropped to three percent in the election poll.
Poll on the federal election: Stable poor result for traffic light parties
Compared to the previous week, the results for the SPD and the Greens remained unchanged, but both parties had achieved significantly better results in the first half of the year. In June, for example, the SPD was at 17 percentage points, while the Greens were at 14 percentage points in March.
For the FDP, which had achieved five percent last week, the fall of two percentage points is all the more bitter. If the party were to maintain its weak result until the federal election, it would not only have to give up government responsibility, but would also miss out on a place in parliament.
Left and FDP under five percent hurdle – twelve percent for other parties
The Left Party would also be below the five percent hurdle with an unchanged three percent of the vote, while Sahra Wagenknecht’s new coalition would make it into the Bundestag with seven percent. Twelve percent of those surveyed also said they would vote for one of the other parties, such as the Free Voters. (saka)
