On wedding nights there are usually surprises. Few as big, however, as the one that Don Pecunio, a rich middle-aged gentleman who married Avidia, a young woman with an attractive figure, carried in his. When the former gallant came out of the bathroom, he was greatly surprised to see that her new bride was already without clothes in the nuptial room, but with various labels on her profuse anatomy.
On his lips he showed one that said: “A thousand pesos.” On the bust another with the legend: “5 thousand pesos”, and further down another marked; “10 thousand pesos”. Seeing this, Don Pecunio shook his head sadly and said to Avidia with a sorrowful accent: “Now I have no doubt, Avi: you married me for my money.” (Note. Surely this Avidia did not know a sobering couplet from ancient times addressed to girls of deserving age: “Don’t marry an old man for the coin. / The coin runs out and the old man remains”).
In the world there are still lefts and rights. I, who, being weak of character, avoid extremes, would like there to be only centers, but it seems that the people do not like the mediocritas aurea, the golden mean. I am not an expert in political science -I am not an expert in anything-; my opinions are inspired by that brown grammar that is given the name of common sense. I understand, however, that there are currently two kinds of left: the old and the modern.
The modern one is based on the idea of seeking the well-being of the people using all the tools that can be used for this purpose, even those that would be said to be from the right. The old left, on the other hand, maintains the dogmas of Marxism-Leninism from long past times; it puts the State above the person and establishes a populist system based on the person of a caudillo or on an omnipotent partisan bureaucracy.
The case of Mexico must be disconcerting for scholars of that volatile and unclassifiable human activity called politics. In effect, we have a president who calls himself a leftist but whose positions are in many areas of the extreme right, based on moral and even religious preaching, which in other countries the most radical right-wingers do not dare to wield. Review the attitudes assumed by López Obrador in matters such as the rights of women and of people of different sexual preferences, and that right-wing will be clearly noted. What is surprising is that such conduct yields good results for AMLO.
A curious paradox, then, is the fact that the president who daily lambasts conservatives is at heart a conservative. The people of Mexico are too, which is why he continues to support López Obrador while unfavorably rating most of his actions. The truth is that we suffer the consequences of a leftist regime in the old way: nationalist, xenophobic, conservative.
And we are certainly paying for the results of this policy that turns its back on modernity. Will the 4T ever realize that we are already in the twenty-first century?…
Miss Himenia, a celibate with many calendars, told Dr. Duerf, a psychiatrist: “Every night I dream on a desert island. A gang of savages attack me with lewd intentions. Then I wake up.” She proposed to the analyst: “I will give him a treatment so that he no longer dreams that.” “Oh no, doctor! Miss Himenia was alarmed. Give me a treatment so that I don’t wake up”… That boy reached the age of adolescence. He asked his father: “Tell me about sex.” The man replied sullenly: “What am I going to know about sex, son? I’ve been married for 20 years.” FINISH.

Variations opus 33 on the theme of Don Juan
The young apprentice seducer asked Don Juan:
-How many women did you seduce?
He replied:
-None.
-How is that? The student was surprised.
“I never seduced a single woman,” Don Juan repeated. They all seduced me.
“I don’t understand,” the boy was puzzled.
The gentleman explained:
-The flower opens its colorful petals and spreads its striking aroma to attract the insect that will help it to give new plants, new flowers. Human life is perpetuated by woman. She, without realizing it, seduces us men to give life through us.
The apprentice looked shocked.
“Don’t be surprised, boy,” Don Juan instructed him. Learn that love is not a novel thing: it is a matter of biology.
See you tomorrow!…
