Police Helsinki police have a busier weekend than usual: “Approximately 20 per cent increase in the number of tasks”

First the weekend after the removal of coronary virus restrictions employed police in Helsinki. Both the night between Friday and Saturday and the night between Saturday and Sunday were more urgent for the police than usual.

“Compared to the beginning of the year, there was an increase of approximately 20% in the number of tasks,” Helsinki Police Commissioner Patrik Karlsson says.

Nightclubs, bars and other restaurants have again been allowed to keep their doors open since March. This attracted a lot of people to the movement, especially on the weekends.

The police had several duties in and in front of the restaurants.

“For example, there has been a quarrel and melee, or there has been help for intoxicated people who can’t get ahead or cause noise. The kind of general bad behavior and loud behavior that makes calls, ”says Karlsson.
