The leader of Can, Ione Belarra, pointed out this Saturday that the businessman Victor de Aldama has made “very serious” accusations against senior officials of the PSOE but “without any proof”, so their training rules out taking advantage of the Koldo case to try to obtain electoral benefits against the socialists.
During his open speech at the meeting of the CPodemos State Citizen Councilthe political leadership body of the party among citizen assemblies, Belarra has referred to the Koldo case as “a very serious case of corruption within the PSOE”.
Furthermore, he commented that From Aldama, whom he has described as a now ex-convict criminal, “has launched very serious accusations against senior active members of the PSOE” in his statement before the judge last Thursday of his own free will, but has avoided using this fact against the PSOE.
“I am aware that Podemos could obtain a very important electoral benefit, as the PSOE did with us, trying to take advantage of this declaration in our favor. But we are not like them. In this case, it is very important to distinguish the wheat from the chaff , and the reality is that From Aldama has made very serious accusations against many people without any proof,” he added.
However, he has pointed out that this does not prevent them from seeing at the same time that the investigation of the Economic and Fiscal Crime Unit (Udef) of the National Police has revealed “very serious information” against the former socialist minister José Luis Ábalos and his “close collaborator” Koldo Garcia.
“This shows that the corruption of the two-party system is its hallmark; both the PSOE and the PP have an absolutely patrimonial conception of our institutions,” he assured.
