Plenipotentiary envoy to the Ural Federal District Yakushev: in the situation with floods, the Kazakhstan factor must be taken into account
In the situation with floods in the Kurgan and Tyumen regions, it is necessary to take into account the factor of Kazakhstan. About it stated Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev on air from RBC.
According to him, the release of water from Kazakh reservoirs “should be more coordinated” with the Russian side. In this case, it is possible to adjust the water level to the rivers of the Kurgan and Tyumen regions, he noted.
Yakushev also drew attention to the flood situation in the Kurgan region, where, according to him, the height of the constructed dam may be insufficient. “Everything is going on a tight schedule, as it should be when preparing for big water,” explained the plenipotentiary.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations noted positive dynamics in the situation with floods in several Russian regions. The press service of the ministry indicated that more than 10.5 thousand residential buildings and 19.4 thousand household plots in 37 Russian regions remain flooded.
