Lawyer Olshansky: picking lilacs is fraught with punishment
Picking lilacs can result in punishment. Honorary Lawyer of the Russian Federation Leonid Olshansky warned the Russians about the consequences of this in a conversation with a radio station “Moscow speaks”.
According to the lawyer, in order to punish a person picking lilac flowers, he can be photographed or videoed in the process of damaging a bush or grabbed by the hand. In addition, you can ask him for a passport, but he has the right to refuse to show it. “A person is obliged to give documents only to a police officer; if not, drag him to the police station for a small matter. Therefore, to summarize what has been said, I think they will not be punished for one or two sprigs of lilac to be placed at home and a wonderful smell to spread. And if a person crossed the border and broke off the entire bush, then they will be punished,” Olshansky noted.
The lawyer also recalled the responsibility for collecting plants listed in the Red Book – this list, in particular, includes lilies of the valley. “If the police catch, for example, at a train station, on the street, a person selling lilies of the valley is brought in,” he explained.
A day earlier, Russians were told about the punishment for parking in their yards.
