Plane in which Trump was going made an emergency landing, according to US media.

A private plane carrying former US President Donald Trump had to make an emergency landing over the weekend due to engine failure, US media reported on Wednesday.

Trump was flying from New Orleans to Palm Beach on Saturday.in the state of Florida, after giving a speech to GOP donors, Politico reported, citing “two people familiar with the incident.”

Politico said the plane was in the air for 20 to 30 minutes when one of its engines failed and the pilot decided to return to New Orleans.

The Washington Post reported that the Dassault Falcon 900 aircraft was flying over the Gulf of Mexico when the pilot made the maneuver.

The newspaper said Trump, advisers, support staff and Secret Service agents were on board the plane at the time of the incident.

The newspaper established that the aircraft belongs to one of the donors who lent it to Trump to attend the event. Another donor provided him with a replacement plane to reach Mar-a-Largo, whose route was completed without incident.
