The senator elected by the Historical Pact, Piedad Córdoba, is no longer held administratively and can leave Honduras at any time, reported the National Institute of Migration of that country.
“She does not have any mobility restrictions, so she is completely free to stay or leave the country as she decides,” the entity added.
(In context: Piedad Córdoba was detained with 68 thousand dollars at the Honduran airport)
Regarding what happened to the 68,000 dollars, the spokesman for the Public Ministry, Yuri Mora, told the AFP agency that like Córdoba “could not justify or demonstrate the origin of the money, so the money stays in Honduras“.
For her part, Piedad Córdoba said on Twitter that the “situation” – which led to her being held for carrying $68,000 in cash without declaring – has already been overcome.
The money was found in his wallet when he was trying to leave Honduras, from the Comayagua airport, to Panama and with a final destination in Bogotá.

To the authorities of the brotherly Honduran people, I thank the due process for the legal procedures of the case and its timely resolution.

In the same social network, he thanked the authorities for their support and “the due process for the legal procedures of the case to take place.”

Córdoba would have given three versions
One aspect that would have caught the attention of the authorities of that Central American country is that Piedad Córdoba would have given three different versions about the origin of the dollars, according to the Honduran newspaper El Heraldo, which cites an anonymous source from the Prosecutor’s Office.
In the first, he said that the money belonged to a Colombian businessman, resident in Tegucigalpa. The second, that she did not know that she was carrying the money when she was arrested. And the third, which was the payment for a consultancy that she had done.
