Pelé, considered by many the best soccer player in historycontinues to be treated for the colon tumor that was detected in September 2021 and for which he had already been operated on once in a private hospital in Sao Paulo.
From this procedure, started a chemotherapy treatment that has forced him to go through the hospital several times. Last January, she went again to the same São Paulo clinic for another check-up, after which the team of doctors assured that her health condition continued to be stable. However, endless rumors arose after local media claimed that ‘O Rei’ had been found to have two tumors in his liver and intestine, and another one emerging in his lung.
This information was categorically denied by Kely Nascimento, one of the daughters of the former Santos player, who then stated that his father was “fine” and that his diagnosis had not changed.
“He goes to the hospital every month to get a general evaluation, so you can expect that kind of thing (hospitalizations) to happen from time to time.”He explained on his social networks.
This Thursday he published a photo explaining that the spots that Pelé has on his face are due to chemotherapy processes.
In addition to the tumour, Pelé’s health has deteriorated in recent years due to spinal, hip and knee problems that have reduced his mobility and forced him to undergo surgery, in addition to suffering some kidney crises.
