Frenchman Benjamin Pavard, 27 years old, defender of Inter Milan and the French national team, entered the history of records, with his two goals that he scored against Scotland, during the friendly international match with the “Roosters”, and he became the first French defender to score a “double” with his country’s national team, since he did it. Defender Mamadou Sakho against the Ukraine national team in November 2013.
Pavard, the former Bayern Munich player, benefited from the “rotation” process conducted by coach Didier Deschamps, and participated in the match from the beginning, after he was confined to the “bench”, in the match against the Netherlands in the fifth round of qualifiers for the European Nations Cup “Euro 2024” in Germany. .
Pavard played alongside his compatriot Ibrahim Konate, Liverpool defender, in the heart of defence, and together they succeeded in neutralizing any danger to the Scotland attackers.
However, Pavard was not content with his good performance, but was advancing behind the attackers, which gave him the opportunity to score two goals in less than ten minutes.
His score with the national team now stands at 5 goals, which is a better number than the numbers of some strikers such as Ousmane Dembélé and Kingsley Coman, who each scored only 4 goals!
The French sports press was not surprised by Pavard’s two goals, although they praised them, because they know very well that getting behind the attackers is a hobby that Pavard is good at, just as he is good at his position as a center back, and sometimes as a right back.

She added: Perhaps people have not forgotten the wonderful goal that Pavard scored in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, in the match between Argentina in the round of 16 of the tournament, which ended 4-3 in favor of the “Roosters”, as he fired a long-range missile from outside the area, to hit the net, and he was considered one of the best. The goals of the tournament, and because of him he became the first French defender to score in the World Cup, since Lilian Thuram scored a goal against Ukraine in the semi-finals of the 1998 World Cup in France.
Born on March 28, 1996, Benjamin Pavard began his professional career in French club Lille (2015-2016), then traveled to Germany, and played for Stuttgart for three seasons, until the summer of 2019. On July 1 of the same year, he moved to Bayern Munich, and continued with them until August 2023. He finally settled in the Italian Inter Milan.
Pavard played for the U-17 and U-21 youth teams, and was promoted to the first team in 2017, and had the honor of lifting the 1998 World Cup with the “Golden Generation.”
