Now I have to continue taking steps forward and continue working the same or more than in the last return to Spain. I’m going to try it until the day everything goes well and gets winning.

In the end it helps a lot for the team to place you at the arrivals. But whether you go alone or go with colleagues what it is about is to cross the line the first and all of us who sprint us. So taking the position is a war that is difficult to win. I try to enjoy.
Does the Astérix village feel a bit when it gets into an arrival with some sprinters, which are more corpulent?
I am not a pure sprinter. Already just because of the weight I do not enter the sprinter category. That is why I need to wear before and climb in which sprinters suffer more than me. A training base must have, because you have to have strength in the muscle to reach a minimum of watts. How has it prepared for this spring?
I spent a month in height, training in Andorra. It is no secret that today the height is basic. You have to control fatigue and make sessions designed in the stages that will come, in the Volta and the Itzulia later [empieza el próximo 7 de abril]. I’m going to get both races and that gets hard.
And then the classics?
When I finish I will go to the calendar that I like the most, which are the Belgian and French classics. There the goal will be to get good places to give us UCI points.
Where does the fans come from?
It is a bug that is taking over time. You see that it is the type of races you enjoy. But not only those abroad, but also the Miguel Indurain or Ordizia Grand Prix. I can give my maximum performance there.
