André Jardine’s team, which weeks ago was eliminated at the hands of Club Pachuca in the Concacaf Champions Cup, saved the season in this Clausura 2024 by condemning the Cruz Azul Machine at the Monumental Azteca stadium.

The score, via penalty kick by Henry Martin, at 78 minutes, ruled the Grand Final of Mexican Soccer. Throwing to the opposite side by Kevin Mier revived a Colossus of Santa Úrsula that was nervous due to the dangerous plays that the Machine did not prosper.
Luis Ángel Malagón lived the best night of his life when he blocked the shots on goal by Uriel Antuna, Ángel Sepúlveda and Rodrigo Huescas, being the player that the Club América fans praise in the celebration that originates from Azteca and will move to Ángel of the independence.
The cries of “Águilas, Águilas!” and “Two-time champions, two-time champions!” echo in the National Heritage that is located on Paseo de la Reforma, where thousands of people with Club América shirts, holding flags, maracas and trumpets, will set up the partying late at night to see their champion team again in Liga MX.
