From this Sunday, March 6, and until the 13th of the same month, the emotions of world cycling will be experienced on behalf of Paris-Nicea race with almost a century of tradition.

Although there are many contenders to succeed the German Maximilian Schachmann, defending champion, the spotlights are focused on the Roglic-Wout Van Aert duo, leaders of a powerful Jumbo Visma that will defend favoritism against Nairo Quintana, who arrives in full form after winning the Tour de Provence and the Alpes-Maritimes.

The route of the new edition of Paris-Nice consists of eight stages, it is varied and its key appointments are a 13.4 km time trial and three mountain stages.

The ‘Carrera del Sol’ will offer opportunities for sprinters and adventurers, forming a route with incentives for all cyclists. In total, it will be 1,196.6 km, with 16,750 meters of positive elevation gain.

The Colombians who will be on French roads this year will be the aforementioned Nairo Quintana, from Arkea, Daniel Felipe Martínez, from Ineos, and Juan Sebastián Molano, from UAE Emirates.
