The road debut of the range is approaching Wey, the premium brand for electric mobility that Great Wall has created for the European market. The Chinese auto industry giant has indeed led to the Paris Motor Show 2022 the Coffee 01, a medium-large SUV with plug-in hybrid technology that had its world premiere in 2021 at the IAA Mobility in Munich and which will arrive in dealerships in 2023. GWM also unveiled at the Mondial de l’Auto a second premium model, the Coffee 02, a C-segment SUV always powered by PHEV. The offer of the full electric Ora brand was also presented at the French event, with three models ready to arrive in Europe.
But returning to the Wey Coffee 01, the premium plug-in hybrid boasts a powertrain of 476 hp and 850 Nm of torque, combined with a 44 kWh battery that guarantees 147 km of range in full electric, a first for the category. Thanks to the presence of the turbo petrol engine combined with the electric engine, the overall mileage range thus rises to 800 km. The performance instead speaks of an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in five seconds and a top speed of 235 km / h. On the occasion of the Paris Motor Show 2022 Wey announced the marketing of the model, with the first launch in Germany. The price list will start from 55,900 euros, with orders already open also through the configurator of the My-Wey App and deliveries in 2023. The first of the 60 Wey-stores will also open here.
The Great Wall brand does not want to stop however and is ready to double with the Wey Coffee 02, another PHEV model that will also offer four-wheel drive. In addition to refined finishes and a European design, the second electrified model will also guarantee an important technological package starting from the 14.6 “infotainment system display and an ADAS suite that will also include park assist with 4 cameras and sensors 360 °.
