The “Multimodal Dry Canal” was announced by Rodolfo Samuda, director of Logistics Affairs of the Ministry of the Presidency of Panama. In the presentation, he highlighted his ability to integrate various modes of transport without requiring new investments.
Furthermore, Rodolfo Samuda indicated that at the same time, a special customs jurisdiction, which will have the objective of streamlining procedures, boosting commercial flow.
Guillermo Salazar, director of the Development Planning Institute, highlighted that this project not only addresses the current challenges of the maritime canal, but also strengthens the position of Panama as a global logistics center.
The project was presented to diplomats and representatives of international organizations at the Panamanian Foreign Ministry, highlighting its strategic importance and the expected benefits for international trade.
