Palworld continues to grind out mind-boggling numbers, with Pocketpair proudly announcing on Twitter | X that the game has reached quota 2 million copies sold just 24 hours after launch on PC and Xbox. An impressive result, considering that the “Pokémon with guns” is also available in the PC and Xbox Game Pass subscription and therefore it is likely that many players are enjoying it through this service.
Not only that, the game also recorded a new peak in concurrent users on Steam. Yesterday we were at 370,000 players, while during the night even a maximum of 561,278 concurrent users.
In the meantime, the quantity of contemporary players has increased further, exceeding 800,000 (821,606 at the time of writing this update). Palworld firmly occupies second place among the most played titles on Steam, where it has outpaced Dota 2, the third in the ranking, by more than 100,000 players. Counter-Strike 2 has more than 1 million, but that's not that far off.
Just to give you an idea, Palword is currently in 12th place in the rankings games that have reached the highest peak of concurrent users on the Valve platform, keeping company with giants such as Among Us, GTA 5 and Destiny 2.
Palworld surprises in a positive way
Really not a bad result for what had been branded as a Pokémon clone, also rather shameless from the point of view of the Pal design, which doesn't offer much more than a bit of violence and firearms.
Instead, as also confirmed by our preview, Palword presents itself as a title, certainly still to be perfected, but with a great potentiala lively and pleasant world to explore and a great variety of gameplay, which together with multiplayer could guarantee hundreds of hours of play.
