The delegation of our national judo team, participating in the Arab Championship for Teams and Clubs, hosted by the Jordanian Judo Federation, arrived in the Jordanian capital, Amman, at the Arena at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, amid the participation of 15 countries represented in the UAE, Djibouti, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco , Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Egypt, Yemen and Jordan, the host country, in addition to the participation of some Arab teams.
The championship matches will start this morning for the youth category with the participation of 8 teams, which includes beside our national team Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Kuwait, Lebanon and Algeria. In the forefront of the UAE national team, next to Jordan, Djibouti, Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen, Algeria and Morocco.
On the sidelines of the tournament, elections for the General Assembly of the Arab Federation will be held, with the participation of Nasser Al-Tamimi, Secretary General and Treasurer of the International Judo Federation, who will supervise the elections on behalf of the International Judo Federation.
The delegation of our judo team, alongside coach Koki for the youth category, the coach Victor for men, the international referee, board member Ahmed Suleiman Al Balushi, the administrator Shaaban Al-Sayed, and 10 players for the youth and men categories, namely Ahmed Jassem, Saeed Al Naqbi, Hareb Jumaa (Al Shabab), Ahmed Faisal Al Naqbi, Khalifa Al Hosani, Ali Al Darmaki, Aram, Goram, Mago Madumar and Nogzari The men’s team will participate in the individual and team competitions, and the youth team will participate in the singles only, with the exception of the player Saeed Al-Naqbi, who participates in the two categories.
Muhammad bin Thaloub Al-Dari, President of the Federation, was keen to follow up on the conditions of the mission before leaving the country and arriving in the Jordanian capital, Amman, by contacting Nasser Al-Tamimi to check on the safety of its arrival and its readiness to compete in the Arab championship, which is expected to be strong and hot.
