Iran’s clerical rulers are clamping down on dissent ahead of the anniversary of Mahsa Amini’s death fearing a resurgence of nationwide protests that have rocked the Islamic Republic for months. One of the measures consists of strengthening the questioned morality police in order to repress especially women who break the dress code imposed by the country’s religious authorities.
